SCALLOPED CORN 
4-6 strips bacon
1 onion (small), chopped fine
1/2 green pepper, chopped fine
2 cans (4 c.) cream style corn
1 c. evaporated milk
1 c. bread crumbs
1 egg, slightly beaten
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper (could use white pepper)

Fry bacon until just crisp. Remove and crumble. Saute onion and green pepper in drippings. Remove onion and pepper and discard drippings.

Combine all ingredients (corn, evaporated milk, egg, bread crumbs, bacon-crumbled, onion, green pepper, salt and pepper). Put in casserole dish. Bake 375 degrees about 1 hour - until set.
