4 apples, sliced thin
4 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 c. sugar

Mix above in separate bowl and set aside until you make batter. Grease large 10" tube pan.

BATTER:

3 c. unsifted flour
2 c. sugar
3 tsp. baking powder
1/2 c. orange juice
4 lg. eggs
1 c. vegetable oil
3 tsp. vanilla

Mix dry ingredients then combine all ingredients in a bowl and mix for about 5 minutes until all ingredients are smooth and sticky.

Pour about 1/2 batter in tube pan, then add some apple mix, repeat batter and apples again but finish with thin layer of batter, this way apples will not burn or become too dark. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour and 15 minutes.
