COCONUT TURNOVERS (P. PRICE) 
FILLING:

2 grated coconut
1 tsp. ground cinnamon
1 tsp. ground nutmeg
1 c. sugar

DOUGH:

See recipe for white bread (p. 16), follow up to Step 8. Roll dough flat. Cut in rectangles 6x4 inches.

Mix cinnamon, nutmeg, and sugar into coconut. Spread 4-6 tablespoons coconut mixture in center of each rectangle piece of dough. Roll the dough over until coconut mixture is covered. Seal edges by tucking small portion under. Base top of dough with sugar water.

Place turnover on greased cookie sheet. Bake at 375 degrees until golden brown. Baste with light sugar syrup. Sprinkle with sugar (optional).
