SPARERIBS HAWAIIAN 
3-3 1/2 lb. pork spare ribs
5 tsp. soy sauce 4 tsp. brown sugar
2 tbsp. mirin (sweet rice wine)
2 tbsp. white vinegar
Dash pepper
1 tsp. white sesame seeds

Cut individual ribs apart into 2 inch pieces. Brown ribs and drain fat. Mix remaining ingredients, except sesame seeds, together and pour over ribs. Simmer slowly over low heat for 1 1/2 to 2 hours, turning often. Sauce will darken and thicken to adhere to meat. Fat will remain in pan, discard. Place on platter when done and sprinkle with toasted sesame seeds.
