STRAWBERRY PIE 
1 c. sugar
2 tbsp. cornstarch
1/8 tsp. salt
1 c. water
Few drops red food coloring
4 tbsp. strawberry flavored gelatin
1 qt. strawberries
1 pastry shell, baked 9 inch
Whipped topping

Thoroughly combine sugar, cornstarch, and salt in saucepan; stir in water. Stirring constantly, cook over medium flame until mixture is thick and clear; turn off flame. Add food coloring and gelatin, stirring to dissolve gelatin; cool. Wash, hull and cut strawberries in half; drain well. Place in bottom of pastry shell; pour gelatin mixture over strawberries. Chill until firm. Top with whipped topping. Serves 6 to 8. 9 inch pie plate ungreased.
