RAISIN SQUARES 
1 1/2 c. sugar
3/4 c. Mazola shortening
2 eggs
1 c. raisins (cooked in 1 1/4 c. water)
1 c. liquid from raisins
2 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
2 1/4 c. flour

Cream sugar and shortening. Add eggs and beat well. (Cook raisins and water on stove in small saucepan while mixing first 3 ingredients.) Then beat in raisins and 1 cup liquid. Add cinnamon, soda and salt. Beat in flour. (Optional: Can add 1 cup nuts.)

Bake on jelly roll pan, greased at 350 degree for 25 minutes; cool. Frost with White Bakery Frosting.

WHITE BAKERY FROSTING:

2 c. powdered sugar
3 tsp. water
1 tsp. vanilla or almond flavoring
1 egg white
1/4 tsp. salt
2/3 c. Crisco

Beat together until fluffy. Add shortening.
