POTATOES AU GRATIN | |
2 tbsp. butter and 1 tbsp. melted butter (for top) 2 tbsp. flour 2 c. milk 6 c. sliced potatoes (raw) 1/4 lb. American cheese, grated Melt 2 tablespoons butter in saucepan; stir in flour and add milk slowly, stirring until sauce boils and thickens. Add cheese and potato slices; heat with occasionally stirring until the sauce boils again. Put potatoes and sauce in greased baking dish; drizzle melted (2 tablespoons) butter over top. Bake 35-45 minutes at 350 degrees. Serves 6-8. |
