CHOCOLATE SOUR CREAM CAKE 
1 3/4 c. flour
2 eggs
Pinch of salt
1 1/3 c. sugar
2 tsp. baking soda
5 tbsp. warm water
4 tbsp. cocoa
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 c. heavy sour cream

Combine and beat together eggs, salt, sugar and vanilla. Dissolve soda in warm water, add cocoa, and combine with first mixture. Beat again. Add flour and sour cream alternately, a little at a time, beating after each addition. Bake at 350 degrees about 30 minutes, or until toothpick comes out clean. Ice with favorite icing.

ICING:

3 tbsp. flour
1 c. milk
1 c. butter
1 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. lemon extract

Mix flour with milk and cook until thick. Allow to cool (mixture will look like paste). Cream butter, sugar, vanilla and lemon extract. Add flour pate and beat well. Spread on cooled cake.
