STUFFED MUSHROOMS | |
20 fresh mushrooms 2 tsp. cornstarch 1/2 tsp. sugar 1 green onion, chopped 1 tbsp. oyster sauce 1/2 tsp. sugar 1 tbsp. soy sauce 1 tsp. sherry 4 water chestnuts, chopped 1/4 lb. ground pork 1 tbsp. cornstarch 1 c. chicken broth Combine soy sauce, 2 teaspoons cornstarch, sherry, 1/2 teaspoon sugar, chestnuts, green onions and pork and mix well. Remove stems from mushrooms and fill each with 1 teaspoon of the pork mixture. Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in skillet. Brown the meat side of the mushrooms. Place in a baking dish and bake in a 350 degree oven for 15 minutes. In a saucepan, combine the oyster sauce, 1 tablespoon cornstarch, 1/2 teaspoon sugar and chicken broth. Bring to a boil and add the stems of the mushrooms (chopped). Pour over the mushrooms and serve. |
