SPECIAL K BARS

1 c. sugar
1 c. Karo syrup
1 c. peanut butter
6 c. Special K Cereal

FOR FROSTING:

3 Hershey's candy bars
1 c. peanut butter

Bring sugar and syrup to a boil but do not boil. Add peanut butter. Pour over Special K and mix well. Put in well buttered 9 x 13 inch pan. Melt Hershey's bars and peanut butter and spread like frosting.

Here is a variation. I use only 5 cups cereal, and as soon as the sugar starts to bubble, pull off heat and add peanut butter. After placing in pan I melt 6 oz. butterscotch morsels and 6 oz. semi-sweet morsels together, mixed well and pour over the cereal bars in the pan and let cool. It is delish.

For anyone interested, I also make the Toll House chocolate chip cookie recipe using the large recipe and instead of using the whole bag of chocolate chips, I use 6 oz. chocolate chips and 6 oz. butterscotch chips. They are Oh My Goodness good. Merry Christmas 2012 everyone.
