COTTAGE CHEESE BREAD 
2 tsp. onion
1 pkg. dry yeast
1 tbsp. butter
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. oregano
2 tbsp. sugar
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1 egg
1 c. creamed cottage cheese
2-2 1/2 c. flour
Salt

Soften yeast in 1/4 cup warm water. Mix onion, butter, salt and all other ingredients except flour. Add yeast and mix well. Gradually add flour to make firm dough. Mix well. Oil bowl, place dough in bowl; oil top of dough; cover with plastic wrap. Let stand 1 hour, or until doubled. Punch down and put in well buttered casserole. Let rise 30 minutes or until light. Bake in 350 degree oven for 40 minutes. Turn out of pan, brush with butter and sprinkle with salt.
