CHOCOLATE FUDGE 
2 c. sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
1 lg. can evaporated milk
1/2 stick butter
2 tbsp. Karo white syrup
2 sqs. chocolate or 1/2 c. cocoa
1 to 2 c. nuts
1 tsp. vanilla

Place sugar, salt, milk and chocolate in saucepan. Cook over moderate heat, stirring frequently until soft-ball stage. Remove from stove; add butter and vanilla without stirring them. Allow mixture to stand without stirring until lukewarm. Beat until creamy. Add nuts and pour into buttered dish. If recipe is followed carefully, fudge will be perfect.
