SLOPPY JOES 
1 lb. ground sirloin or turkey
3/4 c. minced onion
1/2 c. green bell pepper
1/4 c. diced celery
1 clove garlic, minced
1/2 c. water
1/2 c. reduced calorie catsup
2 tbsp. brown sugar
2 tbsp. tomato paste
1 tbsp. vinegar
1/4 tsp. dry mustard
1/4 tsp. chili powder
1/4 tsp. pepper
6 (3/4 oz.) whole wheat hamburger buns

Combine first 5 ingredients in a non-stick skillet. Cook over medium heat until beef is browned, stirring to crumble. Drain and pat dry with paper towels, also wipe skillet out. Return beef mixture to skillet; add water and next 7 ingredients, stirring well. Reduce heat, cook uncovered, 15 minutes stirring occasionally. Spoon 1/2 beef mixture on bottom half of each bun; cover with top half of bun. Yields: 6 servings.
