KASHA HAMBURGERS
1 c. toasted whole buckwheat groats
2 c. water to cook buckwheat
8 tbsp. onion flakes
2/3 c. chopped mushrooms
12 oz. wheat meat
2 tsp. soy sauce
2 tsp. garlic sauce
1/2 tsp. black pepper
6 tbsp. potato flour
3 egg whites

Bring the water to a boil. Add buckwheat; cover and cool on a low heat 10 minutes. Don't overcook. At the same time, brown the wheat meat in a skillet. Mix in cooked buckwheat and the rest of the ingredients; mold the mixture into hamburger patties on a cookie sheet. Bake in a 400 degree oven for 20 minutes or cook individually in the microwave on high for 2 minutes apiece. Delicious served with the tasty sauce below:

SAUCE:

2 (15 oz.) cans tomato sauce
1 (10 oz.) can enchilada sauce
1/4 c. prepared mustard
1/2 tsp. ginger
1/2 tsp. garlic powder
1/2 tsp. onion powder

Combine all sauce ingredients in a saucepan. Heat to blend flavors. Serve hot over Kasha hamburgers or other grain dishes.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
