GOLDEN RICE WITH ALMONDS | |
2 c. reg. long-grain rice 4 c. water (boiling) 6 tbsp. butter 2 tsp. salt In large pan over medium heat, cook rice in butter, stirring constantly until rice is golden. Stir in water and salt. Heat to boiling over high heat; reduce heat to low, cover and simmer 15 minutes or until water is absorbed and rice is tender. Add 1/2 cup chopped or slivered almonds, toasted. 10 to 12 servings. |
