GOOD STUFF OATMEAL COOKIES 
4 tbsp. (1/2 stick) butter
2 eggs
1/2 c. packed brown sugar
1 tsp. vanilla extract
3/4 c. rolled oats
1/2 c. wheat germ
1/2 c. raisins
1/3 c. whole wheat flour
1/4 c. chopped pecans
1/2 tsp. baking soda

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Lightly grease several baking sheets. Melt butter in large saucepan over low heat. Remove from heat; let cool slightly. Beat in eggs, brown sugar and vanilla until smooth. Mix in remaining ingredients; let batter stand for 10 minutes.

Drop batter by heaping teaspoon onto prepared baking sheets bout 2 inches apart. Bake for 8-10 minutes or until edges are beginning to brown and cookies are set. Yield: 2 dozen.
