2 bottles dry red wine (burgundy is fine) 2 oz. brandy 3/4 c. sugar 1 c. fresh lemon juice 2 lemons, thinly sliced 12 - 14 oz. bottled club soda or 7 - Up 2 oranges, thinly sliced Optional fruits - lime slices, strawberries, watermelon or peaches Ice Combine all ingredients except soda and ice. Chill. If desired wine, brandy, sugar and lemon juice can be mixed the night before (a gallon jar works well). Add fruit in the morning, along with soda. Serve over ice with fruit garnish. Makes 8 - 12 servings. |
