GINGER MUFFINS 
1 c. shortening
1 c. sugar
1 c. waffle syrup (may use part molasses)
3 eggs
1 c. buttermilk
1 3/4 tsp. baking soda
3 tsp. ginger
2 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 tsp. salt
3 c. flour

Cream shortening and sugar. Add eggs one at a time. Add syrup then milk with soda dissolved in it. Then add flour and spices. Bake at 375 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes.
