BAKED LASAGNE 
1-2 tbsp. butter
1/2 lb. hot sausage
1 lb. ground beef
1 clove garlic, minced
3 tbsp. parsley flakes
3 1/2 tsp. salt
1 tbsp. sugar
2 c. tomatoes
1 tsp. basil
2 (6 oz.) cans tomato paste
1 tbsp. oregano
1 (10 oz.) pkg. lasagna noodles
2 (12 oz.) cartons cottage or ricotta cheese
2 eggs, beaten
1/2 tsp. pepper
1/2 c. Parmesan cheese
1 lb. mozzarella cheese

Brown meats in butter. Add garlic, 1 tablespoon parsley flakes, basil, 1 1/2 teaspoon salt, sugar, tomatoes, tomato paste and oregano to mixture. Simmer uncovered until thick (45-60 minutes), stirring occasionally. Cook noodles according to package directions, then rinse in cold water.

Combine cottage or ricotta cheese, eggs, 2 tablespoons salt, pepper, 2 tablespoons parsley flakes and Parmesan cheese.

To assemble: Place 1/2 of the noodles in pan. Spread 1/2 of the cottage or ricotta cheese over noodles. Add 1/2 of meat mixture. Add 1/2 mozzarella cheese. Repeat layers. Bake at 375 degrees for 30 minutes. Serves 10-12.
