PECAN POUND CAKE 
5 eggs
3 c. sugar
2 sticks butter
1/2 c. Crisco
1 c. sweet milk
3 c. plain flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. vanilla flavoring
2 c. pecans

Cream sugar, butter and Crisco, add eggs, one or two at a time, beating well. Mix flour and baking powder together. Alternately add milk and flour to other mixture. Add vanilla and pecans; mix well. Bake in a tube pan, greased and floured at 350 degrees for 1 hour and 5 minutes.
