SCALLOPED POTATOES 
6 c. potatoes, sliced
3 tbsp. butter
3 tbsp. milk
1/8 tsp. pepper
2 tbsp. onion, chopped fine
2 tbsp. flour
1 1/2 tsp. salt

Layer potatoes and onions in buttered baking dish. Bake covered for 30 minutes at 350 degrees.

In saucepan over low heat, make white sauce with flour, milk, salt, pepper and butter. Pour over hot potatoes. Bake uncovered for 45 minutes. Adding white sauce to hot potatoes prevents curdling.
