1 c. white flour
1/4 c. salt
2 tbsp. cream of tartar
1 c. water
1 tbsp. vegetable oil
Food coloring

Mix flour, salt and cream of tartar in a medium heavy pot. Add water, oil, and food coloring. Mix thoroughly, removing as many lumps as possible. Cook, stirring constantly for 3 to 5 minutes over medium heat. When mixture forms a gloppy ball, knead until smooth on a floured surface. Store air tight in refrigerator.
