BAVARIAN TART 
Use a 9 x 9 inch pan. If you double recipe use 13 x 9 inch pan.

BOTTOM CRUST:

1/2 c. butter
1/3 c. sugar

Mix together well. Add: 1/4 tsp. vanilla 2/3 c. chopped walnuts

Press in bottom of pan and bake 10 minutes in 350 degree oven. Take pan out of oven and set aside.

FILLING:

1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
1 egg
1/4 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. vanilla

Beat smooth and pour on crust, then set aside.

TOPPING:

1 large can Bartlett pears - drain and cut into wedges. Place on cream cheese filling. Sprinkle over all 1 teaspoon sugar mixed with 1 teaspoon cinnamon. Bake at 375 degrees for 25 minutes. Cut into squares while warm but leave in pan until ready to serve.
