PINEAPPLE BARS 
3/4 c. brown sugar
1 egg
1 1/2 c. rolled oats (regular)
3/4 tsp. baking soda
1/2 c. nuts
3/4 c. shortening
1 1/2 c. flour
3/4 tsp. salt
1 c. crushed pineapple

Save pineapple juice for icing. Mix all together and spread on greased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees until done. Frost with icing made of confectioners sugar and pineapple juice. Cut into 24 squares.
