HOMEMADE CHILI | |
1 1/2 c. Granburger 1 1/4 c. hot water 1 1/2 c. chopped onion 2 cloves garlic, pressed or minced 1 can whole tomatoes (28 oz.) 1 can kidney beans (17 oz.) 1 tbsp. sugar 2 tsp. chili powder, optional 1 tsp. salt Rehydrate Granburger in hot water for 10 minutes. Saute rehydrated Granburger, onion and garlic in a little corn oil in a Dutch oven or heavy saucepan until vegetables are tender. Add remaining ingredients. Stir until thoroughly blended. Simmer uncovered about 30 minutes until proper consistency is reached. Yields 6 cups. |
