STEWED TOMATOES 
1/4 c. melted butter
1 tbsp. chopped onion
1 qt. canned tomatoes
1 tbsp. sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. black pepper
1 1/2 tsp. green pepper

Melt butter in heavy skillet. Add onions and cook lightly, but do not brown. Add remaining ingredients and cook gently and quickly.
