CRAZY BREAD | |
1 c. warm water 1 tsp. sugar 1 tsp. salt 1 tbsp. plus 2 tsp. yeast 2 1/2 to 3 c. flour 1 tbsp. shortening, melted Mix water, sugar, and salt. Sprinkle yeast over above liquid mixture. Stir in 1 cup flour and melted shortening. Gradually add rest of flour until a soft dough. Knead 5 to 7 minutes. Let rise for 5 to 10 minutes. (Cover with damp towel.) Grease baking sheet. Roll dough into 9 x 3 inch rectangle and cut into 1 inch strips. Space evenly on baking sheet, let rise 5 to 10 minutes. Brush with melted butter and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese after baking at 350 degrees for 10 minutes. |
