FRENCH APPLE PIE 
3/4 c. granulated sugar
2 tbsp. flour
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
6-8 thinly sliced tart apples
1/4 c. cream (can substitute Coffeemate mixed with water)
1/4 c. brown sugar, firmly packed
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/8 tsp. salt
1 unbaked pie crust (9 or 10 inch)

Mix sugars and spices, flour and salt with apple slices. Spread into unbaked pie shell. Pour cream into center and dot with butter. Cover with topping and bake at 375 F. for 1 hour.

TOPPING:

1/2 c. butter
1 c. flour
1/2 c. brown sugar, packed

Mix ingredients until crumbly. Sprinkle over apples making sure apples are covered.
