OZARK MOLASSES SPICE COOKIES 
1/2 c. shortening
1 1/4 c. sugar
2 eggs
1/3 c. molasses
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 3/4 c. flour
2 c. quick cooking rolled oats
1 tsp. cinnamon

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Cream shortening, sugar, eggs, molasses, baking soda and salt thoroughly. Stir in flour, oats and cinnamon. Shape dough by rounded teaspoons into balls on ungreased cookie sheet. Flatten with bottom of glass dipped in sugar, or drop by teaspoonful onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 8 to 10 minutes at 375 degrees, or until golden brown. Immediately remove from cookie sheet.
