3/4 c. sugar
1 egg
Shortening, size of an egg
A coffee cup of sour milk
1 coffee cup cornmeal
1 coffee cup flour with 1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking powder

Mix well and bake in a 350 degree oven for 1/2 hour.
