OLD FASHIONED LUNCH BOX
DOUGHNUTS
 
4 c. sifted flour
4 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
2 tbsp. butter
1 c. sugar
2 eggs, beaten with fork
1 c. milk

Mix together flour, baking powder, salt, and nutmeg. Mix butter, sugar, and eggs well. Add to dry mixture. Add 1 cup milk. Blend until smooth. Dough will be sticky. Turn out on floured board. Pat out 1/2 inch thick. Cut into doughnuts. Fry in deep fat.

GLAZE:

2 c. powdered sugar
2 tsp. cinnamon
7 tbsp. milk
1/4 tsp. salt

Brush on doughnuts.
