RAISED DOUGHNUTS | |
1 1/2 c. milk, scalded & cooled Take out 1/4 cup and add 1 package of yeast. To rest of milk add: 1/2 c. sugar 1 tsp. salt 2 beaten eggs 4 c. flour Let raise and then roll out about 1/4 inch thick and cut doughnuts. Let raise and fry in Crisco oil. Glaze or sugar them. Glaze is powdered sugar and enough boiling water to make a glaze for dipping HOT doughnuts. These doughnuts do not get tough! Approximately 40 donuts. |
