NEW ENGLAND CLAM CHOWDER 
4 strips diced bacon
2 green onions, chopped
4 potatoes, diced
3 tbsp. flour
2 c. clam juice and/or milk
12 oz. clams with liquid
1 c. whipping cream

Saute bacon until crisp. Add green onion and potatoes. Saute for a few minutes. Sprinkle with flour. Add clam juice or milk; bring to a boil. Simmer 20 minutes until potatoes are tender. Salt and pepper to taste. Add clams and whipping cream. Heat through.
