DILLED CUCUMBERS 
2 cucumbers, peeled (8 inches each)
2 tbsp. butter
2 tbsp. all purpose flour
3/4 c. half and half
2 tbsp. dried dill weed
1 tsp. granulated sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
Dash white pepper

Cut peeled cucumbers in half lengthwise and scrape out seeds with spoon. Cut cucumbers in 1/2 inch cubes. Saute in butter in large, heavy pan until tender but still firm, about 2 minutes. Sprinkle with flour and stir to blend. Add half and half, dill, sugar, salt, and pepper. Cook over moderate heat until thickened, stirring constantly. If serving id delayed and sauce becomes too thick, add a little more cream.
