ONE DISH MEAL 
1 lb. hamburger
1 tbsp. butter
2 c. sliced potatoes
1/2 c. onions
1 c. sliced carrots
1/4 green pepper
1/2 c. celery
1/2 c. raw rice
2 c. tomatoes
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
Hot water to cover

Brown hamburger in butter, breaking it up with a fork to have it in crumbles. Then in a greased 2 quart casserole arrange in layers; first the meat layer, then a layer of each vegetables, one on top of the other, in the order given, ending with hot water. Cover and bake at 325 degrees for 2 hours. Add more water if needed during cooking periods.

ELECTRIC SKILLET: Start at 300 degrees. After it starts bubbling, turn down to 225 degrees. Cook for about an hour and 15 minutes. (When carrots are done, it's done.)
