MANWICH MEATBALL HOAGIE 
1 lb. ground beef
1 egg
1/4 c. each finely diced onion, celery & green bell pepper
1/2 c. uncooked quick cooking oats
1/2 tsp. garlic powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
1 (15 1/2 oz.) can Manwich sauce
All-purpose flour
Wesson oil
6 to 8 French bread rolls
Italian dressing
Shredded cheddar or Monterey Jack cheese

In bowl combine first 9 ingredients and 1/2 cup Manwich sauce. Shape meat into 1 inch balls; lightly coat with flour. In large skillet lightly brown meatballs in oil; remove from skillet. Drain meatballs on paper towels. Discard oil from skillet. Return meatballs to skillet. Pour remaining sauce and water over meatballs, cover and simmer 20 to 30 minutes, stirring occasionally. Lightly drizzle Italian dressing in buns. Place 3 to 4 meatballs on bottom half of bun. Sprinkle with cheese. Broil one inch from heat for 3 to 5 minutes or until cheese melts. Makes 6 to 8 servings.
