BROWNIES 
1 stick butter
1 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. self rising flour
4 tbsp. cocoa
1/2 c. nuts

Cream one stick of butter with 1 cup sugar until fluffy. Beat in two eggs (one egg at a time) and 1 teaspoon vanilla. Add the self-rising flour (or plain flour and add 1/8 teaspoon salt and 3/4 teaspoon baking powder), cocoa and nuts. Grease pan thoroughly. The brownies will be the good chewy type. Bake at 350 degrees for approximately 25 minutes.
