SALAD ELONA 
1 sm. cucumber
12 lg. strawberries
Salt and black pepper
1-2 tbsp. dry white wine or white wine vinegar

Peel the cucumber and slice thinly. Wash, hull and drain the strawberries in a colander, then slice them in thin even slices. Arrange by overlapping the slices in a decorative pattern in a shallow serving dish, an outer circle of cucumber, slightly overlapped by a circle of strawberry slices, then more cucumber, finishing with a center of strawberry slices or a single large strawberry. Sprinkle with salt and fresh ground black pepper, then the wine or vinegar. Chill in the refrigerator before serving. Serves 4-6.
