FRUIT COMPOTE 
1 lg. sliced peaches
1 (16 oz.) pineapple tidbits
1 (16 oz.) apricot halves
3/4 c. brown sugar
1/3 c. butter
2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. nutmeg

Drain fruit and put in 9 x 13 inch pan. Melt butter. Add other ingredients and pour over fruit. Bake in 325 degree oven 1 hour. Last 15 minutes may add maraschino cherries. Can be prepared night ahead.
