ANNIE'S NEVER FAIL POUND CAKE | |
1 box confectioners' sugar 1 empty sugar box filled with sifted cake flour 1 lb. butter 6 eggs 2 tsp. lemon flavoring or vanilla or mix of two Cream butter and sugar well. Add eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each. Alternate adding small amounts of flour with eggs. After mixed thoroughly, mix in flavoring. Bake in well greased and floured ring pan. Start in cold oven, then turn to 300 degrees. Bake for about an hour and 10 minutes, checking after the first hour. |
