GENE'S PICKLED SHRIMP 
1 lb. shrimp
1/2 lb. mushrooms
2 or 3 lg. onions
1 bay leaf

SAUCE:

2 tbsp. sugar
1/2 tsp. dry mustard
3 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
3/4 tsp. garlic powder
1/3 c. vinegar
1/4 c. ketchup
1/4 c. salad oil
2 or 3 shakes hot sauce
Salt and pepper to taste

Boil, peel and clean shrimp. Slice onions and soak rings in ice water. Wash and slice mushrooms. Mix sauce ingredients and beat 10 minutes in blender or processor. Layer shrimp, onions and mushrooms in serving dish. Pour sauce over, add bay leaf, cover and refrigerate for 24 hours.
