RED EARTH CAKE 
Red Earth Icing:

1 stick butter, softened
1 box powdered sugar
3 tbsp cocoa
1 tsp red food coloring
3 tsp hot coffee
1 tsp vanilla

Mix well with electric mixer. Fill layers and frost cooled cake.

Cake:

1 tsp salt
1 cup buttermilk

Beat butter and sugar together. Add eggs, cocoa, food coloring, coffee, soda and vanilla. Beat well. Add in flour, salt and buttermilk.

Bake in 3 greased pans at 375°F until done. Cool cakes, then fill and frost with Red Earth Icing.
