HOT MILK CAKE 
4 eggs
2 c. sugar
6 tbsp. butter
2 tsp. vanilla
2 c. sifted flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1 c. hot milk

Beat eggs until light, gradually add sugar, blend thoroughly. Fold in the sifted dry ingredients. Heat milk and butter. Fold in the hot milk, and flavoring. Bake in 2 greased and floured 9 inch layer cake pans for 25-30 minutes at 400 degrees. Frost with Glossy Chocolate Frosting.

GLOSSY CHOCOLATE FROSTING:

1 c. sugar
3 tbsp. cornstarch
2 (1 oz.) sqs. unsweetened chocolate
Dash salt
1 c. boiling water
2 tbsp. butter
1 tsp. vanilla

Heat water with chocolate squares until melted. Mix sugar and cornstarch. Add to water and chocolate. Cook over medium heat until mixture thickens. Remove form heat, add butter and vanilla. Spread on hot milk cake while cake is still hot for a glossy frosting.
