CHEWY CHOCOLATE SAUCE 
1 sq. unsweetened chocolate
1 tbsp. butter
Little less than 1/3 c. water
1 c. sugar
2 tbsp. corn syrup (white Karo syrup)
1/2 tsp. vanilla
Few grains salt

Melt chocolate over hot water (double boiler), add butter and pour water on gradually. Bring to a boil and add sugar and Karo syrup. Boil 8 minutes, cool slightly, add vanilla and salt. For ice cream or simple puddings.
