DATE-NUT FINGERS 
2 eggs
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
1/2 c. sifted all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. coarsely chopped walnuts
1 (8 oz.) pkg. Dromedary pitted dates, chopped

Beat eggs until foamy. Beat in sugar and vanilla. Sift dry ingredients and stir into other ingredients. Mix in walnuts and Dromedary dates. Spread in greased 8-inch square pan. Bake in a moderately slow 325 degree oven 25-35 minutes or until top has dull crust. Cut into finger-size pieces while warm; cool, then remove from pan. If desired, roll in powdered sugar.
