SCONES 
2 tbsp. yeast
1/4 c. warm water
3 c. milk
2 tbsp. oil
3 tbsp. baking powder
2 1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking soda
3 eggs, beaten
2 tbsp. sugar

Dissolve yeast in warm water; set aside. Mix together and add 4 cups flour. Mix well. Add 4 more cups of flour; knead together. Let rise; will double in bulk. Punch down; refrigerate. Roll out, cut and fry in 1 inch of oil.
