COUNTRY SHORT RIBS | |
3 lb. short ribs of beef Flour to dredge meat 3-4 tbsp. vegetable oil 3 tbsp. flour 2 c. water 1/2 c. tomato sauce 1/4 c. chopped carrots 1/4 chopped onions 1/4 chopped celery 1/2 tsp. minced garlic 1 1/2 tsp. salt 1/8 tsp. pepper Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Have ribs cut individually and remove any excess fat. Dredge in flour and brown in oil. Place browned ribs in a 3 quart baking dish. Blend flour into pan drippings, gradually add water, stirring constantly. Add remaining ingredients and pour over ribs. Cover and bake 1 1/2 hours or until tender. Serves 8. |
