AUNT MAY'S SHORTBREAD 
1 lb. butter
1 c. confectioners' sugar
3/4 c. cornstarch
4 c. flour

Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Beat butter and add sugar gradually. Add cornstarch and blend well. Add flour a little at a time. Take out of bowl and knead well. Press into a 9 1/2 x 13 1/2 inch (ungreased) jelly roll pan. Prick all over with a fork. Bake for approximately 50 minutes (light golden brown).

Cut into squares as soon as it is taken out of oven, otherwise as it cools and you try to cut, it crumbles.
