CHOCOLATE CRACKLES 
4 sq. baking chocolate
1/2 c. oil
2 c. sugar
4 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla
2 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. chopped nuts
1 c. powdered sugar

Melt chocolate. Blend in oil and sugar. Add eggs one at a time, beat well after each one. Add vanilla. Add dry ingredients to mixture, add nuts. Chill overnight. Drop teaspoon of dough into powdered sugar to form small balls. Bake at 350 degrees for 10-12 minutes on greased cookie sheet. Drained maraschino cherries may be centered on ball before baking.
