CHOCOLATE CRACKLES 
4 squares (4 oz.) unsweetened chocolate
1/2 c. salad oil
2 c. sugar
4 eggs, beaten
2 tsp. vanilla
2 c. flour, sifted
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. chopped nuts
1 c. powdered sugar

Melt chocolate in top of large boiler or in microwave. Remove from water and blend in oil and sugar. Add eggs one at a time and beat well after each addition. Add vanilla. Sift together flour, baking powder and salt; stir into chocolate mixture. Add nuts and mix thoroughly. Chill soft dough for several hours or overnight. Shape into small balls and roll in powdered sugar. Bake on greased baking sheet at 350 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes. Yields 6 dozen (2 inch) cookies.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
